- Rumors suggest that Rey Valera either resigned or was fired due to a lapse in judgment.
- TV executive denied the rumors and revealed that he’s on leave.
- Valera just went on vacation because he has shows abroad.
Rey Valera didn’t resign or got fired from being the Punong Hurado of the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of It’s Showtime. Rumors circulated that Rey was fired after he wrongly judged a contestant.
Accounts have it that fellow TNT judges Nyoy Volante and Yeng Constantino admitted to Rey sometimes having lapses in judgment.
On leave
Merce Gonzales, It’s Showtime‘s business unit head, denied that Rey resigned or got axed. They confirmed that Valera is actually on vacation because he has shows abroad.
Wala pong favoritism doon.”
Dulce as “punong hurado”
It was also mentioned that Dulce would be the next “punong hurado.” The TV executive pointed out that Dulce is just a guest judge.
