- Cathy Garcia-Molina refers to Daniel Padilla as her new John Lloyd Cruz.
- The director said their relationship has evolved that they would argue sometimes.
- Cathy and Daniel are both cool with it. They just sometimes forget to set aside personal relations during work.
Director Cathy Garcia-Molina revealed something about Daniel Padilla and it’s something personal.
According to the director, due to her many projects with KathNiel her relationship with Daniel has evolved to the extent that they would argue.
You know, ‘di ba, the closer you get to a person, mas nag-aaway na kayo?
How can Daniel hurt his director? Daniel said:
“Minsan, nakakalimutan namin na nagtatrabaho kami, eh. Akala namin, tropahan lang kami du’n. (Laughs) May ganu’n na. So minsan, oops, sobra. Mali pala.”
Director Cathy commented that Daniel is very sensitive in both a good and bad way. And their first argument was somehow memorable because it happened in Amsterdam.
The reason why they argue from time to time is that their fatigue takes over their emotions. And sometimes, Daniel can no longer perform what the director is hoping to capture.
When Daniel was asked how difficult it is to portray what Direk Cathy has in mind, he said, “Mahirap. Dyusko, mahirap!
Daniel Padilla also said that he can never be John Lloyd Cruz, “Iba pa rin si Idan (John Lloyd Cruz).
