Christian Bables enumerated what he likes and dislikes in the world of showbiz. He currently stars in an official entry to this year’s Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, Signal Rock. The said entry is directed by Chito Roño.
Likes
Christian shared that acting is an outlet to express his repressed feelings.
“Ang pinakagusto ko sa propesyon ko ay I was able to express my repressed feelings, ‘yung mga unresolved issues in my life, personal issues na I’ve been battling, dito ko nailalabas sa acting.”
Dislikes
Christian revealed that he hates the chaos surrounding the world of showbiz. He added that there are sycophants in the industry who flatter you no end but put you down behind your back.
“Ang pinakaayaw ko nung makatuntong ako sa showbiz, nagulat ako kasi ganito pala dito, magulo. Sorry for the term, napakadumi, wala akong makitang… kumbaga, bibihira akong makakita ng mga tao na may pure intentions. Most ng tao na inakala kong yumayakap sa akin, binebeso ako, saying good things about me, nakaka-disappoint na sila ‘yung na-discover ko na, ‘Ah, okay. Ganito pala kayo.’ Mahirap magtiwala sa industriya na ‘to.”
Considers Direk Chito as father figure
In a guest appearance in Magandang Buhay on August 14, Tuesday, Christian expressed his gratitude towards director and talent manager, Chito Roño. The actor also noted how direk Chito became a father figure in his life.
“Si direk Chito, never siyang nag-fail iparamdam sa akin na hindi siya nagki-care. Ako, uhaw ako sa pagmamahal ng isang tatay. Kumbaga hinahanap ko ang father figure sa bawat taong makakasama ko. Nakakatuwa si direk dahil hindi siya nag-atubuli na ibigay sa akin ‘yon, ‘yung care, ‘yung love… Even for my career, nandiyan si direk talaga.”
