- Cherie Gil deals with “talent fee question” like a true diva.
- She pointed out that talent fee is too personal a thing to discuss.
- She also shared her challenges in filming scenes with non-actor Jo Berry in the soap Onanay.
In a recent press launch, Cherie Gil was asked to compare her talent fee in ABS-CBN and GMA-7. If she felt slighted by the question, Cherie Gil certainly didn’t let it show.

Too personal
Like the great acting diva that she is, Cherie Gil knew how to answer a question that is not just “probing” but “too personal” as well.
“Talent fee is a huge consideration, but it’s too personal. All I can say is, I love doing what I’m doing.” It goes without saying that for Cherie Gil, what she stands to gain in terms of experiences weighs more than the potential financial gains.

Acting challenge
Cherie is featured in the new Kapuso soap Onanay where she stars with Nora Aunor and Jo Berry, a woman afflicted with dwarfism. Cherie says that acting with Jo Berry has its challenges. “I have to be careful because I might hurt her while we’re doing our scenes.” She is thankful for the help of Onanay director Gina Alajar. Onanay starts airing on August 6, Monday.
