Bea Alonzo recently arrived in Manila after filming in Vancouver, Canada for an upcoming movie with Aga Muhlach. It was her first time to work with the enduring heartthrob and director Paul Soriano. They shot the movie in Canada for almost a month.
Many firsts for Bea
The Aga-Bea first team-up is set entirely in Canada. Bea shares that the still-untitled film is her first that is set outside the Philippines. Bea went as far as revealing that she plays a Filipino-Canadian girl in the movie.
“First time ko to be working with direk Paul and Aga Muhlach as my co-actor. Medyo matagal kami nag-shoot sa Canada, one month halos. The entire movie will be set in Canada. Unang pelikula ko ito na buong pelikula nangyari outside the Philippines. Very exciting siya for me kasi yung character ko doon, local na Filipino-Canadian.”
Working with Aga
Bea admits that she has always wanted to work with Aga and this movie is the fulfillment of that long-held wish.
“Ang saya ko kasi matagal ko nang pangarap na makatrabaho siya, even before he left ABS-CBN, pinag-uusapan nga namin na baka ito yung tamang timing na magka trabaho kami. Ang dami ko natutunan sa kanya na ang daming maliliit na bagay about the industry na alam mo naman, pero hindi mo masyado iniisip.”
They have yet to release details about the upcoming movie. Bea, however, disclosed that this movie is heartwarming.
“Marami, maraming iyakan. Yung movie para sa akin ‘heartwarming’ siya eh, not just a love story but it’s a story about life.”
