The Guinness World Records recognized a viral 2015 tweet of Eat Bulaga on Hashtag Day on August 23.
The tweet went trending during the time when AlDub was still the hottest thing on television.
Guinness World Records wrote, “DYK, the most used hashtag in 24 hours on @Twitter was #AlDubEBTamangPanahon with 40,706,392 uses from 24 Oct – 25 Oct 2015,
“inspired by a benefit concert and celebrity couple AlDub from the Philippines TV show @EatBulaga #hashtagday”
There’s no question about Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza’s chemistry and the AlDub phenomenon was one of the best things that happened to Eat Bulaga.
Sadly, Alden and Maine now work apart. Alden is busy with Victor Magtanggol while Maine just had a series of episodes in Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko. They still host in Eat Bulaga but are rarely seen together in the show.
