- ABS-CBN authors join 2018’s Philippine Readers and Writers Festival
- Writing inspirations, money talks, spoken poetry, and more in #PRWF2018
ABS-CBN Publishing, Inc. takes part in the National Book Store-led Philippine Readers and Writers Festival (PRFW) 2018, with a series of exciting talks and book signings by Kapamilya authors this weekend (August 10 and 11) at Raffles Makati.
Join comedy actor and writer of “Malapit Na, Unggoy” and “Help!!! Ayoko Na Sa Syota Ko!,” Ramon Bautista, for the “I Feel You: Writing from the Heart” session with renowned artist Ryan Sandagon and “365 Days of Feels” author Noreen Capili, more popularly known as Noringai, on Friday (August 10) at 3 PM.
Rose Fausto, author of “FQ: The Nth Intelligence,” will talk about the basic laws of money and will share her inspiration in promoting financial literacy among individuals and families, also on Friday at 3 PM. There will be a moving “Unspoken Rules” poetry performance by Beverly Cumla on the same day at 5:30 PM.
On Saturday (August 11), YouTube sensation Lloyd Cadena talks about his hilarious “Ex-Rated” book at 6 PM.
Author of “I Love You Since 1982” fiction, Binibining Mia, will have a book signing session, also at 6 PM. Other ABS-CBN fiction writers—Ana Theresa Cruzate, Patyeah, Mari Kris Ogang, and Ethyl Dela Pena—are likewise joining in the “1..2..3.. Steps to Millennial Storytelling” talk to be moderated by digital reading platform NoInk.
Aside from ABS-CBN Publishing writers, a great lineup of creators, artists, and publishing professionals are part of this year’s PRFW, top billed by young adult author Adi Alsaid, Filipino-American children’s book writer Erin Entrada Kelly, and the co-CEO of Archie Comics Publications, Nancy Silberkleit.
Admission is free at the three-day reading fest happening from August 10 to 12 at Raffles Makati. For the book signing events, only books purchased from National Book Store, NBS Express, and Powerbooks will be accommodated. ABS-CBN books may be purchased on-site.
