Everyone is already talking about ABS-CBN’s latest teleserye “Ngayon at Kailanman” starring the phenomenal love team of Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia. The romantic drama series debuted on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida evening block and worldwide through The Filipino Channel last August 20, 2018 replacing the hit fantasy series Bagani.
Let us share the Top 10 Reasons Why We’re In Love With JoshLia’s Ngayon at Kailanman.
10. It’s directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar.
Our favorite director, Mae Cruz-Alviar who is behind some of the most unforgettable shows of ABS-CBN like Maalaala Mo Kaya, Maging Sino Ka Man, Magkaribal, Dolce Amore and Sana Dalawa Ang Puso is also one of the directors of “Ngayon at Kailanman”. She is joined by Elfren Vibar in the director’s seat.
9. The Story That Reaches Far Beyond This Life.
The series follows the story of Eva (Julia Barretto) and the Cortes brothers Inno (Joshua Garcia) and Oli (Jameson Blake), and how they are destined to cross paths with one another. Their love story reaches far beyond this life, as Eva and Inno meet each other in another realm after both of them had a near-death experience.
This encounter will be their connection to each other as time plays with their fate, and they cross paths years after.
8. The Star-studded Cast.
“Ngayon at Kailanman” features an amazing powerhouse cast, from Rio Locsin, Ina Raymundo, Rosemarie Gil, Dominic Ochoa, Christian Vasquez, Ronnie Lazaro, Rey “PJ” Abellana, Maria Isabel Lopez, Ana Capri, with special participation of Dante Rivero, Nico Antonio, Manuel Chua, Mercedes Cabral and TJ Trinindad.
7. The Primetime debut of Joao Constancia.
Joao Constancia of Boyband PH marks his Primetime debut as Dominic Consuelo. The 21-year old heartthrob from Macau, China will be joining the series after their Wansapanataym stint with the rest of Boyband PH and Elisse Joson.
6. Alice Dixson.
Aside from joining the hit teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Alice Dixson is also in the cast of “Ngayon at Kailanman” as Stella Simbajon-Cortes, one of the main antagonists of the series.
5. Iza Calzado.
After starring in the hit series A Love to Last last year opposite Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion, and her acclaimed performance in the Cinemalaya 2018 entry Distance, she returns to the small screen as she plays Rebecca Marquez in “Ngayon at Kailanman”.
4. Jameson Blake.
Award-winning indie actor and now one of the most in-demand movie stars of his generation after starring in 7 films in less than a span of 2 years, Jameson Blake returns to Primetime Bida as he plays Oliver “Oli” Cortes, brother to Joshua Garcia’s character in “Ngayon at Kailanman”.
3. Julia Barretto.
We mostly see her as the chic and hip girl in her past films and shows, but Julia Barretto will surprise everyone as she plays Eva Mapendo in “Ngayon at Kailanman”. Eva is an 18-year old Navotas girl who dreams and hopes to give a better future for her family.
2. Joshua Garcia.
Another surprise from this series is that we will get to see Joshua Garcia in a different light as he plays 20-year old Innocencio “Inno” Cortes”, a perfectionist, responsible and straight-laced man and heir to the Cortes clan. He will meet Eva who will change his life forever.
1. JoshLia.
Of course, the best thing that we really love about this series is that it marks the first Primetime teleserye of our favorite loveteam, JoshLia. After both Joshua and Julia starred in mostly separate teleseryes, they are finally together in ABS-CBN’s “Ngayon at Kailanman”.
Get ready for some JoshLia moments that will surely make your hearts go non-stop kilig.
