Yuan “Pao Pao” Francisco is going to be Alden Richards’ sidekick in Victor Magtanggol. He recently recounted his story in a 24 Oras report. He will portray Meloy, the nephew of Alden’s titular role.
In the said report, Pao Pao also revealed that he doesn’t have superpowers in the series.
“Lagi ako sumasama sa kanya kahit wala super power. ‘Tas ako lang po ‘yung ‘Go Tito, go Tito.’ Gumaganun lang po ako. Taga-cheer ako.”
Alden also expressed his happiness in becoming close to Pao Pao on and off screen. He explained that Meloy remains the only one who knows Victor Magtanggol‘s secret.
“Siya nakakaalam ng sikreto. ‘Tas siya magiging kasama ko sa mga adventure, siya magiging kasama ko sa training ko. Magaan katrabaho ‘yung batang ‘yun eh.”
A Karelasyon episode titled, Asset, was Pao Pao’s first project in 2016. Then, he rose to fame when he starred in Encantadia where he got his nickname “Pao Pao.”
He also starred in a Magpakailanman episode titled, Golok: My Son’s Imaginary Friend in 2017. His supporting role in Impostora as Junic Saavedra became his latest project.
