Teejay Marquez has conquered the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia.
Two years ago, the young performer hit it big in Indonesia when his dubsmash videos went viral. Teejay’s popularity reached a crescendo when he was invited to star in “Dubsmash The Movie” and other projects.
He returned to Manila last year and signed a contract with Arnold Vegafria’s management outfit, ALV Talent Circuit, and Regal Entertainment.
Marquez once again flew to Indonesia before 2017 ended to start filming a TV series titled Siapa Takut Katij Cinta (Who’s Afraid to Fall In Love?). The show is an adaptation of the phenomenal Taiwanese series Meteor Garden which has captured hearts all over Asia.
The young actor has a lot on his plate. “I also flew to Malaysia for some documents, to Hong Kong for some social media jobs, and also to Manila,” Teejay stated in early July.
Other than several endorsements, he is also excited over his new project – a movie directed by Adolf Alix, Jr.
His manager Arnold Vegafria is very proud of Teejay’s accomplishments. “He (Teejay) could rightfully be called our ambassador of goodwill. It’s rare to have someone so young and talented waving the Philippine flag proudly on foreign shores.”
Now that he is no longer a teenager, Teejay Marquez is ready to take on more challenging acting roles.
In a recent interview, he said, “Yes, I think I’m ready to do some daring roles and some challenging roles to show what I can do. Change is good!”
