Regine Velasquez-Alcasid remained a Kapuso after all these years. On the other hand, her husband Ogie Alcasid signed an exclusive contract with the Kapamilya Network, which make them as rivals in the same day and timeslot.
Regine is host to a singing competition, The Clash which started its pilot telecast yesterday, July 7. Meanwhile, Ogie is with Your Face Sounds Familiar: Kids as a judge. Both shows air on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays.
NOT A PROBLEM.
According to Regine, she also pointed out that there isn’t a problem with having her husband as her rival.
“E, anong gagawin namin. Mag-aaway ba kami? Network decision yun at saka ganun talaga. At saka sanay na kami sa ganun. Mag-asawa kami, hindi namin pinipersonal yun.”

Regine also revealed whether she still feel nervous about airing the pilot episode and everyone always gets scared.
“We always get scared. Always. Siyempre, iisipin mo ano bang klaseng pagtanggap ang maghihintay sa audience, and since it is already the age of social media, may kaakibat na bashing, pamimintas.”

Regine also couldn’t answer back to her bashers anymore as she doesn’t have time for such.
“Ngayon hindi na. Ngayon, para akong… wala masyadong time to do that now. Uhm, ano ba ready ba kami? I think so naman, e, ganun talaga.”
