Fresh from an intense Reinforced Conference, the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) returns with some of the country’s top amateur volleyball teams for the Collegiate Conference this Saturday (July 21) at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
Volleyball fans can catch the opening ceremony and the day’s double header featuring the Adamson University (AdU) Lady Falcons the University of Perpetual Help System-DALTA (UPHSD) Lady Altas at 2 pm, followed by the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses and San Sebastian College-Recoletos (SSC-R) Lady Stags at 4 pm LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A and S+A HD.
Highlights from succeeding matches will be shown on S+A’s sports newscast “The Score,” while the Finals will also be aired live on S+A and S+A HD.
The PVL Season 2 Collegiate Conference serves as a serious build up for the NCAA and UAAP wars for the nine participating teams led by defending PVL Collegiate champion the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs. Other teams participating in the Collegiate Conference this year are San Beda University (SBU) Red Lionesses, College of Saint Benilde (CSB) Lady Blazers, the Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws, and the University of the Philippines (UP) Lady Fighting Maroons.
Stars that will surely give fans their money’s worth include Isa Molde (UP), Chiarra Permentilla (AdU), Toni Rose Basas (FEU), Joyce Bicar (UST), Nieza and Jeziela Viray (SBU), Maria Tripoli (UPHSD), Ranya Musa (CSB), Joyce Sta. Rita (SSC-R), and Faith Nisperos (NU).
