Pokwang plays a wife whose life is turned upside down after the murder of her husband by a family squatting on their land in this Saturday’s (July 14) “Ipaglaban Mo.”
Rene (Michael Rivero) and Celia (Pokwang) are simple farmers who are about to get the chance to have a piece of land to call their own.
However, their plans for their new property will be put on hold when they find out that Lando (Jeffrery Santos) and his family are already living on it.
Even though they have no legal right to the land, Lando’s family refuses to move, even after Celia and Rene nicely ask the family to leave and give them enough time to find someplace else to live in.
Desperate to keep the property, Lando and his sons resort to viciously murdering Rene, while his wife and daughter look on with satisfaction.
Will Celia and her son be able to carry on without Rene? Will they be able to get back the land Rene sacrificed his life for?
