Niño Muhlach portrayed Paco Larrañaga as a drug crazed maniac, who was accused of raping and brutally raping the Chiong sisters in Cebu. The dramatization was shot for a scene in Calvento Files. The said show was a crime and investigative in nature, aired on ABS-CBN from 1995 to 1998.
In an Instagram post published on July 25, Wednesday, Muhlach apologized to the alleged number one suspect of the Chiong rape-murder case–Larrañaga.

In the said post, Niño wrote that he was only asked to play Paco.
“SORRY PACO. I was asked to play the role of Paco Larranaga for CALVENTO FILES that was aired on ABS CBN at the time the case of the chiong sisters was being heard on National tv. As an actor, i was asked to to portray Paco as a drug crazed maniac.”
