The Queen of All Social Media–Kris Aquino explained that she can’t reveal her role just yet. The production hasn’t given her the go-signal to say anything for now. Being part of the show, gave her that sense of pride and she felt the experience was meaningful.
Despite the bashing about her stint in the film, what made her heart full of joy was the opportunity to portray the Filipino identity.
She hinted that her stint has something to do with Filipinos who were judged and were looked down upon–she frankly put it that that this film will change the perception of the world toward the Filipino people.
‘Crazy Rich Asia’ is an upcoming American romantic-drama-comedy film based on the novel by Kevin Kwan.
The story centers on a Chinese-American professor Rachel Chu. She joined her boyfriend in Singapore to attend a wedding only to find out that she was in the sea of crazy rich Asians that made her feel out-of-place. Another discovery she had–her boyfriend belongs to a filthy wealthy clan with a dark past. Her boyfriend’s reputation made him as someone that every woman dreamt of marrying.
