Terrence Romeo recently apologized on the brawl between Gilas Pilipinas and Australia Boomers. The altercation broke out in the middle of a game in July 2, Monday at the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
At the end of the day, Gilas lost to Boomers by default after the brawl-filled game.
In the said Instagram post, Terrence also wrote that he deeply apologizes to Filipinos. He also said sorry to those who had lessened their support and felt disappointment on the team.
Terrence also promised that they would try to gain their support back. He also asked everyone to move on and have their hearts filled with forgiveness.
Terrence expressed what he felt when fellow Filipinos slammed them for defending their teammate.
Terrence pointed out that they are not just teammates, they are family.
Terrence and his teammates weren’t proud for being involved in a brawl but he has no regrets and join it rather than leaving his teammates behind.
Terrence would also teach this to his future children and expressed his gratitude to the people involved and supported them.
Now lets all move on. #Gilasasone #brothersforlife #familyforever”
Queen of All Media Kris Aquino left a comment. She also added that she wanted to be friends with Terrence.
“Gusto kitang kaibiganain. #fan”
“sorry wrong spelling KAIBIGANIN.”
The basketball player expressed gratitude towards Kris. He also wished that Kris would keep on supporting Gilas and wished God’s blessing to Kris and family.
“maraming salamat po mam. It takes one to understand one. Keep supporting Gilas po. God bless you and your family.”
