Months ago, rumors circulated on social media regarding two Hashtag members who got their girlfriends pregnant. Hashtag members Jon Lucas and Bugoy Cariño got embroiled in the issue following their indefinite leave from the noontime show It’s Showtime. Both artists, however, kept mum about the controversy. Until recently when Jon admitted to being a father.
The young dad proceeded to introduce his son Brycen to netizens via his Instagram account.
“Nothing beats being a FATHER”
In an Instagram post, Jon posted a photo of him kissing his son.
“I am proud of many things in Life, but nothing beats being a FATHER. I LOVE YOU, Baby!”
One netizen asked Jon whether he was still a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo.
“Iglesia pa po ba si @aljohn_lucas?”
This prompted Jon to make another revelation: that he is already married under the said church.
“kasal po ko sa loob ng Iglesia, handog din po baby ko:)”

John’s fellow celebrities and friends, among them Loisa Andalo and Iñigo Pascual, left comments on the Instagram post, expressing their support. Fellow Hashtag members Bugoy Cariño, Ronnie Alonte, and Ryle Santiago also sent congratulatory messages to Jon.
