Iza Calzado was announced Best Actress & Best Supporting Actress in Cinemalaya 2012 along with Judy Ann Santos, Janice de Belen, and Agot Isidro.
This year, the actress is again taking part in Cinemalaya with her movie “Distance.”
However, Iza made it clear that she did not join Cinemalaya 2018 just to get the Best Actress title.
She added, “Actually, this year, it was also a big thing. Kasi parang lahat ng projects ko with ABS-CBN was a little bit delayed.”
Iza Calzado thought that she should be productive on her idle time and that’s how she came up with the script. It only took her eight days to do it.
She also said that her projects with ABS-CBN are still rolling soon.
Iza is about to get married and she made sure that with her changing her civil status soon will not affect her work. She said that her husband-to-be is understanding and supportive of her decisions.
