Coco Martin, Maine Mendoza, and Vic Sotto are joining forces for an upcoming 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles. Some quarters see this as a good development since it is a move that breaks barriers resulting from the network wars.
Coco is an ABS-CBN prime star while Vic and Maine are Kapuso top artists.
Maine’s role in MMFF entry
Maine will portray Vic’s daughter in Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles. Vic, known by everyone also as Bossing, said that fans will see a new Maine in the movie.
“It’s her first time to do this role so definitely something new for her fans. Hindi ‘yung dating Maine Mendoza na nakikita nila.”
Separate projects for AlDub
Vic believes that a little time part will allow for growth and exploration. Thus, Vic believes that it will do good for Alden (Richards) and Maine to have separate projects.
“Hindi mawawala ‘yung friendship, ‘yung loveteam, forever na ‘yun! Okay lang naman kung may kanya-kanya silang projects every once in a while.”
Vic said that Maine and Alden owe it to beef up their body of work.
“You have to expand ‘yung trabaho mo. Hindi ka limitado sa isang daan lang. It’s for the good of the artist also.”
Is Maine quitting showbiz?
When asked whether or not Maine would quit showbiz, Vic thinks she has already fallen in love with the industry.
“I don’t think so. Sa tingin ko, napamahal na sa kanya ang showbiz. Minahal siya ng industriya and I think it’s just automatic na sa isang tao na you give back. I know she’s the kind of person na who will always give back to people.”
