Netizens recently slammed ABS-CBN sports reporter Dyan Castillejo after that controversial remark she had about the President of the Republic of the Philippines–Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Castillejo addressed the country’s commander-in-chief as ‘your President’ during her interview with Senator Manny Pacquaio just right after the fight between Pacquiao and Argentinian boxer Lucas Matthysse, held in Malaysia on Sunday, July 8.
Sen. Manny is now the new WBA Welterweight Champion after winning the match.

Controversy
Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte flew to Malaysia to watch the Senator’s fight. The President stood up and applauded Pacman’s victory. After the fight, Dyan quickly asked Sen. Manny to give a message to his Filipino fans. She also addressed President Duterte as “your President” which made Netizens think that she’s disowning him as her President.
“What a great performance, Manny. I’m sure you want to address your Filipino fans and all over the world and your President standing right out there.”
Manny addressed Filipinos all over the world and the stadium. Then, he endorsed President Rodrigo as a good one.
“Mga Pilipino, maraming-maraming salamat lalong lalo na sa mahal nating Pangulo… Filipino people, maraming maraming salamat. We have a good President… Thank you, Mr. President for being our president.”
Dyan pointed President Rodrigo out to Manny, showing him that he was raising his two thumbs up.
“All right, Manny. That’s the President right there, giving you the two thumbs up.”
Dutertards
A video was uploaded to Facebook by a page called Dutertards. In the said video a text also said, “ABS-CBN DISOWNS DUTERTE; CANNOT MENTION HIS NAME.”

Dyan chose to be silent on the issue and did not mind the bashers. She has yet to release a statement regarding the said issue.
