- He exclaimed how “unfair” the statement is.
- He also revealed how difficult to hold auditions in order to look for the next star.
Direk Lauren Dyogi recently posted his seventh vlog on his own YouTube channel. For the past years, rumors had circulated that the reality program, Pinoy Big Brother is a scripted show. In Direk Lauren’s vlog published on July 3, Tuesday, he voiced how “unfair” that some people perceived it to be as one.
The video was titled, “Vlog 7: Is PBB Scripted? It’s about time I speak up about this.” While waiting for the plane to arrive, Direk Lauren revealed how hard it was to hold an audition to look for the next star. Many people in his life, like his wife and his boss, complained about the time he’s spending for the talent search.
“We were talking about, there are comments na may napili na… Sinasabi ko sa kanya parang it’s an UNFAIR STATEMENT.
OBVIOUS CHOICES: Joshua Garcia and Jameson Blake
Direk Lauren also cited some obvious choices they made in finding a talent.
Direk Lauren also revealed that Joshua Garcia had been an obvious choice for Marikina.
“Like we were talking about Joshua… Joshua’s an obvious choice in Marikina…
Direk Lauren talked about how Jameson Blake was an obvious choice. However, Jameson still had to undergo a lot of auditions and processes just to make it.
“Hindi madali ‘yung dinaanan ni Jameson. But we’re happy now with how his career is turning out to be. Pero siya ‘yung alanganin kasi ‘yes’ and ‘no’ kami.”
Direk Lauren also revealed that sometimes the talents they see having potentials are already with a particular agency. He also cited that at the time of scouting Jameson, already had a commercial pending to be released in the country.
SCRIPTED
Direk Lauren also noted that people just don’t understand the audition process. He also explained the long queues just to audition for the talent search.
Like ako, ‘di naman ako nakakatulog the night before. Kailangan din namin ng pahinga namin dahil we make choices and decisions.
Direk Lauren mentioned that people don’t really see the time and hard work behind auditions.
They discussed Maymay Entrata’s journey from being a small-town girl to living her best and dream life. Direk Lauren pointed out that Pinoy Big Brother can’t write out Maymay and Edward Barber’s interaction in a script. He also added the same thing happened to Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson inside the PBB house.
WHAT DIREK LAUREN GETS IN STARHUNT
Direk Lauren revealed what the staff and crew get out of it.
It’s really the joy of finding that someone na matutulungan namin para naman makampanya niya ang kanyang pangarap.
