Arnold Clavio, following the Gilas Pilipinas brawl with the Australian team, finally shares his personal thoughts about the issue.
On his Instagram account, he wrote, “Tama na ang satsat! Maging Pilipino ka muna! Ang respeto ay ibinibigay sa mga bisitang nagpapakita rin ng respeto at paggalang!”
“Huwag naman nating kalimutan ang ating mga bayaning binuwis ang kanilang buhay para magkaroon tayo ng karangalan at hindi mayurakan ng mga dayuhan!”
“Maaari naman kasing naiwasan ang gulo kung naging maayos at matalino rin ang desisyon ng mga referee.”
“Mahaba ang pasensiya ng mga pilipino. Pero kapag napuno na ang salop, dapat nang kalusin!”
“Hindi basagulero ang tawag dun, prinsipyo!!! Huwag maging miron! Taas noo, Pilipino!”
Unfortunately, Australia was announced the winner by default due to the breakout. The final score was 89-53, leaving 1:57 on the clock in the third quarter.
Due to the display of poor sportsmanship, Gilas Pilipinas will be facing trouble in the upcoming FIBA.
