Alden Richards became so enamored of his new series, Victor Magtanggol, that it made him want to be a director.
A chance to direct
In the recent media conference for Victor Magtanggol, Alden was quoted saying that he wished to direct at least one episode of the series. The prime Kapuso leading shared that he would usually watch how Direk Dominic directs when they’re taping for the show.
“Kahit po sana isang eksena lamang dito sa Victor Magtanggol, bigyan ako ng chance ni Direk Dominic Zapata. Siguro po napapansin ni Direk Dom na after kong mag-take, o kapag wala akong eksena, nasa OB-Van ako. Nakikita ko po kasi kung paano niya ihanda ang eksena, at tinatandaan ko ang mga ginagawa niya. Kaya sana po bago matapos itong serye namin, mabigyan ako ng chance.”
An offer he couldn’t refuse
When Alden accepted the offer of GMA Network to do Victor Magtanggol, he had already read the synopsis of the show. He promised himself that he would do everything in his power to give justice to the role of The Hammerman.
“Bumalik na ako sa training, halos araw-araw nasa gym ako. At since maganda na ang katawan ko, may isa na akong eksenang nagpakita ako ng katawan, abangan po ninyo kasi nagawa ko na. Isa ring highlight dito iyong eksena namin sa palengke na two days naming kinunan.“
Alden Richards has always been regarded as showbiz’s Mr. Nice Guy. Despite the success, the guy remains humble and eternally grateful for the blessings and opportunities that never cease coming.
“Iba po ang feeling ko, at very thankful po ako, una kay God for the blessings and to GMA Network for the opportunity at faith in me sa pagbibigay nila ng project na ito sa akin. Kaya po ibibigay ko ang lahat.“
