Alden Richards will star as a superhero in the upcoming drama-action-fantasy-adventure Kapuso series, Victor Magtanggol. He expressed his excitement as he had always wanted to be a superhero.
He then showed off the Filipino-made superhero costume that he would use in Victor Magtanggol.
In an exclusive interview with 24 Oras, Alden expressed his love for Marvel’s iconic genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist Tony Stark and his alter ego, Iron Man.
“Alam naman ng karamihan na super fan ako ni Iron Man, so ‘yung mga secret dreams ko before was really to play a superhero role.”
Alden also expressed his excitement in wearing the superhero costume for Victor Magtanggol. He revealed that he felt comfortable in wearing the superhero costume while doing his action scenes.
“Surprisingly ang ganda nung movement. Parang magaan siya isuot.”
Alden also described what he felt wearing a body cast. Although very uncomfortable, he loved how tailor-made his costume was.
“Isang oras kang babalutan ng material na parang tumitigas. Masakit, pero para talagang tailor-made ‘yung costume, kailangan ‘yun eh.”
Alden also felt proud that his superhero costume remains authentically Pinoy.
“Everything is purong Pinoy. It’s all Filipino talent, Filipino effort, blood, sweat, tears, all in one project. So ito ‘yun.”
