Is this is true? Did Robin Padilla really call Angelica Panganiban an “animal” in their new movie? Actually, yes! His exact words were “Hayop kang babae ka!”. BUT this is only part of a joke for the teaser trailer of their upcoming film from the geniuses behind the critically-acclaimed 2016 MMFF animated film “Saving Sally”.
From RocketSheep Studio comes the laugh-out-loud animated comedy film “HAYOP KA! The Nimfa Dimaano Story The Movie”.
The animated film features talking animals as it’s characters, hence the witty title. Imagine Disney’s “Zootopia”, but with Pinoy wit and humor. The film’s teaser trailer was recently released last May 25, 2018, on social media sites like Facebook to positive reactions from netizens. Spring Films describes it as “Pinaka hayop na Pelikula!”
The teaser featured a short clip showing a cat named Nimfa (voiced by Angelica Panganiban) as she comes home to their house late at night after a rendezvous with another man (I wonder what they were up to the whole night!). But to her surprise, she is caught by her dog husband Roger (voiced by Robin Padilla) and accuses her of cheating.
From its hilarious lines and over-the-top drama, this new animated film from Avid Liongoren and his team who gave us “Saving Sally” is sure to be a winner.
“HAYOP KA! The Nimfa Dimaano Story The Movie” features the voices of Robin Padilla, Sam Milby, Empoy Marquez, Arci Munoz and the one and only Angelica Panganiban as Nimfa Dimaano. It is produced by RocketSheep Studio and will be distributed by Spring Films (the studio who brought us the box-office hits “Kita Kita”, “Mr. & Mrs. Cruz” and “Meet Me in St. Gallen”) in cinemas soon.
