- Korean girl group MOMOLAND has just recently released the music video for their latest song.
- The group featured the Philippines in the MV to show their appreciation to Pinoy fans.
Korean girl group MOMOLAND is currently making waves in the country because of their hit single “Boom Boom”. Fans are also crazy with MOMOLAND member Nancy McDonie with her resemblance with Filipina actress Liza Soberano.
Their fanbase here in the Philippines is currently going “Boom Boom” too as more and more Filipinos are becoming their supporters. Because of this, they recently announced that they will be visiting the country soon to meet their Pinoy fans.
And just last June 26, 2018, they have finally released the music video for their latest single entitled “BAAM”. The song describes the situation of having a crush on an unexpected person with the word ‘BAAM’ in a playful way. The song sounds fresh with the parts that express each member’s characteristics well and a trendy rap hook.
But what surprised everyone is when the Philippines was featured in the video, with MOMOLAND member Nancy McDonie clad in a modernized ‘saya’ (the national costume of the country) while waving the Philippine flag. Later on, the group danced while some Filipino styled Jeepneys are displayed in the background.
The music video is currently trending on Youtube and has earned more than 2 million views as of writing.
