According to Salve Asis’ article in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Vic Sotto and Coco Martin had submitted their entry in Metro Manila Film Festival. The said article suggested that the movie will also star Maine Mendoza.
This started a rumor which Coco may pair up with Maine as a love interest.
Vic and Maine don’t have a movie contract with GMA Films. Vice Ganda remains fully aware of rumors regarding Coco teaming up with Vic for a Metro Manila Film Festival entry. He also confirmed that Coco had always wanted to team up with Vic.
In an earlier report, rumors suggest that Maricel and Maine would star in a movie together. Vic and Coco’s entry may also be this movie. According to Jojo Gabinete’s PEP Alerts, Eric Quizon will make a movie which Maricel will top-bill.
In an interview with Cabinet Files, Eric shared that he’s working with a fellow director and writer Joey Javier Reyes. He also added that they’re just finishing the script for the project they have with Regal Entertainment, Inc. for the Diamond Star. Mario Bautista, entertainment columnist, and film critic gave Eric an idea to let Maricel work with Maine on a movie together. He shared how they could match in comedy and drama.
