Liza Soberano doesn’t film that much for Erik Matti’s Darna as she remains busy in taping for ABS-CBN Corporation’s epicserye Bagani. However, she still continued on training for her fight scenes in the said movie.
Star Cinema has yet to release a statement regarding Liza’s leading man in Darna.
Rumors suggest that Tony Labrusca will be Liza’s leading man in Darna. Star Cinema also didn’t submit Darna for Metro Manila Film Festival 2018. The movie will also be available on theaters nationwide in the last quarter of 2019.
According to Reggee Bonoan’s article in Balita.net, his source in ABS-CBN also revealed that Direk Erik wanted it to be perfect.
“Masyadong malaki ang Darna kaya hindi ito minamadali, kilala mo naman si Direk Erik, mabusisi. At saka maraming action scenes kaya hindi puwedeng ngaragin si Liza lalo’t sabay niyang ginagawa ang Darna at Bagani.”
