During the I Love You, Hater media launch, reporters asked Kris Aquino whether she would like Joshua Garcia if she was Julia Barretto’s age.
However, she apologized to Joshua and shared that she would choose Alden Richards over him.
In the media launch, Kris pointed out that Joshua will remain Julia’s. However, Alden may be free.
“Ay, Joshua please don’t hate me ha, kung sing-age ako ni Julia, sorry ABS-CBN don’t hate me for my answer, si Alden ang pipiliin ko. Sorry po, I apologized and no offense to anybody here. Tropang Joshua, don’t hate me pero kasi ang kay Julia kay Julia na, so si Alden libre pa.”

In a comments section, Kris also revealed what she liked about Alden. She continued how much she would want to star as Alden’s hardworking mother in a movie.
“hindi lang yun- gusto ko talaga yung aura nya, his love for family, and the fact that he wanted & worked so hard to have what he has now. Direk @aalixjr knows if there is 1 project i really want to do- it is a movie of how a single mom who devoted her life to raising her child will cope when her son is now a working adult & asserting independence. This isn’t the first time Kris professed her love for Alden. In an earlier report, Kris expressed that she would want to work with Alden.
After bashers slammed her for being old enough to be Alden’s mom, Kris clarified her words. On the said comment, the misunderstood netizen wrote:
“Sus naman kris alaga ka nalang ng anak mo! After ng kwento mo na nag propose si Bistek sayo si Alden nmn! Naka ilang lalaki ka na ba? Tama majonda ka na!”
Then, Kris didn’t take too long to clap back and write:
“you must really have low comprehension skills- I said my dream project was to PORTRAY HIS MOTHER. Please read before you bash me. Because I don’t mind intelligent criticism but i take offense at poor compregension.”
