Jerome Ponce has currently gained a lot of exposure due to several projects, including his recent movie “Walwal.”
However, a lot of people say that he had too much pride when he was just starting showbiz. His attitude problem came to the point that the director and the production staff themselves complaining about this.
Fortunately, the young actor realized his wrongs and overcame his pride.
“Oo, grabe yung before. Siyempre, baguhan lang ako non. Marami pa akong hindi alam sa showbiz kaya nahirapan din talaga akong mag-adjust,” he admitted to PUSH.
He said that he was just a teenager back then and was overwhelmed by the showbiz career. But now, he describes himself as a renewed person, “Natuto lang siguro ako. Siyempre, lahat naman ng tao natututo.”
He is grateful to all the people who helped him and gave him advice to change. “Yung iba, nakikita ako habang pinapagalitan ako ng mga director, tinalikuran ako, pero nung nalaman nilang umokey, sasabihin nila sa ‘yo, hindi ka nila tinalikuran dahil yon lang talaga yung kailangan para matuto ako.”
Although he experienced betrayal, he believes that those people who turned their backs on him also had their own problems and he is in no position to judge.
One of the people Jerome Ponce is very thankful is his girlfriend Mika Reyes. “Lagi niya rin akong kinakausap regarding sa ganyan. Lagi niyang sinasabi sa akin na… alam mo yon, wag kang magsasarado ng pinto sa pagbabago ng tao,” he shared.
