- After Darren received a hefty amount of hate comments, Jed used his Twitter to defend the young singer against bashers.
Jed Madela and Darren Espanto recently performed on It’s Showtime. Although Darren was sick at the time, he still showed every one what he was capable of.
However, Darren had received hate comments due to his slightly sickly voice. Jed also backed up the 17-year-old whose voice allegedly cracked during a duet of an OPM in It’s Showtime.
Jed also had a series of tweets, defending Darren from bashers. One netizen even pointed out that Darren belted high notes even if he was sick.
“Yes. He could have asked to lower it but no, he is a trooper! Hindi madali mag perform na may sakit.”
Then, another netizen pointed out the harsh notes from bashers. They also expressed their gratitude in Jed for always supporting Darren.
“Bashers are losers hiding behind their phones and social media. Again, they will never come close to a Darren Espanto.”
Jed declared his love and support for Darren. He also added how he sees Darren as a little brother.
“Oo naman. Kahit ano pang panlalait at paninira na ginawa ng iba dati, I never stopped supporting D. Parang kapatid ko na yan.”
Jed expressed how proud he remains of Darren.
“Will always be proud of this boy! #BrotherhoodOfTheVocalChords Hahahaha Funny hashtag tho…”
Jed pointed out that they will remain open for observations and comments. However, some people have a way of saying it in an offensive manner.
“Yep! Observations and constructive comments are fine. We are actually open to that. But some people have a way of saying it in a very “not so thought out” manner.”
When one netizen pointed how much offensive some comments were, Jed just asked them to stop acknowledging said bashers.
“Hayaan nyo na, guys. They’re not worth your time. Yun ang gusto nila eh. Patulan sila at bigyan ng attention.”
Jed also proved how he had always been Darren’s supporter.
“See??? Consistent ako ever since day 1! Hehehehe”
Then, another netizen pointed out that Darren was sick. Jed also asked not to acknowledged said basher.
“Hayaan nyo… mga inggit lang yan.”
One netizen also asked Jed how to calm themselves down. Jed told them to think how they are not on the same level. He also added that Darren wouldn’t want his fans to be stressed.
“Isipin nyo na lang na di natin sila ka-level coz we only think of the good and the positive. Ayaw din ni D na ma-stress kayo.”
Jed also pointed out how bashers wouldn’t have a better life if they kept on hating on someone.
“Ewan ko ba sa mga taong yan. Di naman ikagaganda ng buhay nila ang pagba-bash…”
One netizen slammed PEP.ph’s article about the said duet. Jed noted how writers write for a living. However, everyone should remember that Darren will always be an amazing singer.
“Let them say what they want to say ah. It’s their job to “write” eh. Whatever happens, everyone knows that D is an amazing singer.”
When one netizen also noticed how Jed had lowered his tone to work with Darren’s condition. Jed also pointed out a performance number should be artists singing as one.
“Thank you. That’s how a number should be done… Singing as one. You work together and not against each other.”
