Janella Salvador recently posted an Instagram Story in June 28, Thursday. She was absent in the premiere night for Walwal. This also caused many of her followers had wondered whether things are okay between her and Elmo Magalona. She also explained why she was absent in the premiere night.
In the said Instagram Story, Janella also can’t tolerate “getting all the backlash because of someone’s wrong choice of words for the benefit” of a movie. Although she didn’t refer to Elmo’s latest film Walwal, she defended herself for being absent at the premiere night in June 26, Tuesday.
Janella also apologized on resorting to this. She just couldn’t tolerate getting hate comments to benefit a movie. She also added that she knew Elmo didn’t want to disappoint their fans. Janella pointed out that she was not busy during the premiere night.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to resort to this, but I cannot tolerate getting all the backlash because of someone’s wrong choice of words for the benefit of the movie. I know that he did not want to disappoint our supporters but it was at my expense. I was not “busy” during the premiere night.”
Janella also revealed that she informed Elmo that she would prefer to watch the movie in private. Then, she pointed out that Elmo agreed. This may also be the reason why he didn’t invite Janella in the premiere.
“I informed Elmo in advance that I would prefer to watch the movie in private and he agreed. He understood so that may be the reason why he did not invite me anymore. He probably just doesn’t know how to word things properly sometimes under pressure. Lesson learned, I hope.”
Janella also apologized again and wished the movie all the best. She also noted that she will always defend Elmo. However, she guessed that no one will do the same for her.
“I know that not everyone will listen to me but I also know that I at least deserve to speak up. I still sincerely wish the movie all the best. Again, I’m sorry. I’m sure you all know that I would always choose to defend @elmomagalona (even he knows that) but I guess I have no one to do the same for me but myself.”
As of this writing, Elmo has yet to speak up about this matter and Janella had deactivated her Twitter account.
