In a recent interview, James expressed that he underwent intense training as he doesn’t want to use a stunt double.
“I want the fight scenes to be me, I don’t want to ask for doubles. It’s really intense honestly from Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts thing and training for the weapons of Pedro Penduko.”
James considered playing Pedro Penduko an honor. He expressed how the character became iconic through Janno Gibbs and Matt Evans. He also noted how the movie will have a social relevance in today’s society.
“It’s a movie that has social relevance, a touch of what’s happening in the Philippines. I can’t wait for the audience to see this super hero movie.”
Although he will have a solo movie, James assured that JaDine remains as strong as steel. He also shared that Maria Makiling remains one of his dream projects for Nadine.
“She has always wanted to have her own action role so I think it’s perfect for her.”
James acknowledged a possible requirement for Nadine to go sexy in doing Maria Makiling.
“Nadine is sexy if that is what they need, so show it off. She’s confident about her own body.”
