Kris Aquino recently had an interview with Cristy Fermin in Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM. In the interview, she also revealed the status of her relationship with Mayor Herbert Bautista.
She also explained why she doesn’t want to be in a boyfriend-girlfriend status with Herbert.
In the interview, Kris continued that they had a talk regarding their relationship status. She added that there’s something wrong with their status if Herbert doesn’t bring a ring
“Magpakatotoo tayo talaga with each other na sinabi ko, because at out age, hindi natin pwedeng sabihin na we’re just boyfriend-girlfriend. Diba? Kasi pagtatawanan kami ng lahat… Hello, after naman doon sa ginawa niya sa akin at ngayon babalik siya. Eh kung wala pang singsing, may mali na doon.”
Kris further clarified the story about a ring that Herbert had apparently bought. However, Herbert’s credit card got declined. Then, she remarked that this may be a proof that he’s not included in any corruption issues.
“Meron siyang singsing na binili, ako pumili ang kapal ng mukha ko! We were together, okay? And you’re gonna die of laughter. Na-decline yung credit card niya! At least, alam niyo na ha. I guess, malinis kasi walang laman, walang pondo! I’m so sorry! He’s gonna hate me after this ‘pag natapos eto at sasabihing ‘Hiniya mo ako!’ Well, this is what you get, okay?”
Kris shared how she had paid for the ring but Herbert paid her back. She also clarified that they had gone to Italy separately. She also chose a one-karat diamond ring.
“Anyway, na-decline, nay! So, inabonohan ko! Agad-agad, nabayaran ako when we got back! ‘Cause we were in Italy. Can I clarify that? We were there separately, separate hotels. I paid for myself kasi yung airline na pinili niya ‘di ko type, ‘di class! I really went there because panata ‘to that I was gonna go to Padre Pio. So anyway, he had one whole free day, ‘yun yung peace talks nung time na ‘yun. There was one free day… Lumibot kami, nag-Assisi kami, nag-dasal and all. Tapos, dinala niya ako, sabi niya, ‘Utang ko ‘to sa’yo.’ Yung singsing! So si Krissy, ayoko namang magmukhang parang kapal ng mukha, maliit lang pinili ko, one karat lang!”
However, Kris suddenly felt pressure on the ring’s implication. She went back to the store and replaced the ring with two watches instead.
“Yun na nga! Na-decline ang card. So, si Kris ang nagbayad! Pero binayaran, okay? But, the next day nahimasmasan ako, natakot ako sa implication ng singsing… Dahil, I think, ‘yung singsing would mean something to so many people. And because it was a solo- a solo diamond na heart. Actually, maganda siya talaga and super good price… Bumalik ako dun sa store, pinalitan ko… Bumili ako ng dalawang relo kasi ‘yun yung katumbas ng singsing from that same store… Eh kasi parang nagpaka-practical ako gustong gusto ko talaga ‘yung watch.”
