- Green and Gold Awards recognizes exemplary FEU alumni

Far Eastern University recognizes its outstanding alumni in the 2018 Green and Gold Awards. The awardees represent the university’s gold standard of service to the creator, nation, and the world that FEU always aspires to achieve.
Held every five years, the Green and Gold Awards signifies FEU’s unwavering and continuing commitment to the cause of education. It includes three major citations which encompass the university’s key strengths as an institution: academics, culture, and sports.
“Green and Gold Awards is a testament of FEU’s commitment, for the past nine decades, to mold people who, by leading a life of Fortitude, Excellence, and Uprightness, can make this world a better place,” explains FEU Chairman Aurelio Montinola III.
This year, the FEU Alumni Relations Office in collaboration with the President’s Committee on Culture, and Athletic Office name twenty-eight (28) graduates who made exemplary and extraordinary contributions in their respective fields.
FEU Sports Hall-of-Fame Awardees
1. Jesson Ramil Cid – 2013 South East Asian Games Gold Medalist for Track and Field
2. Rachel Ann Daquis – Philippine Ambassador for Volleyball
3. Janelle Mae Frayna – First woman Grandmaster for Chess
4. Jayson Gonzales – 9th Filipino Chess Grandmaster
5. Dennis Miranda – Assistant Coach, PBA Developmental League
6. Arwind Santos – 2013 MVP in PBA, member of the PBA Mythical First Team
7. Marestella Torres-Sunang – four-time Sea Games Gold Medalist for Track and Field
8. Christopher Ulboc, Jr. – 2013 and 2015 South East Asian Gold Medalist for 3000 meter steeplechase
FEU Cultural Awardees
1. Jessa Czaraina Dulay – National Museum Painting Conservator
2. Reynaldo “Rey Valera” Guardiano – Multi-awarded songwriter and recording artist

“The Green and Gold awardees are the realizations are our founder Dr. Nicanor Reyes’ dreams for the students and the school. They are the lodestars that the university can point to, by which all FEU Tamaraws can fashion their own life goals,” says FEU president Dr. Michael Alba.
