Empress Schuck remains a freelance actress. So, she could work with ABS-CBN Corporation and GMA Network whenever she could. In November 2017, she also responded to question from netizens regarding how she could work with both networks.
She would also appear in drama anthologies for the rival networks. This, apparently, caused confusion and violent reaction among netizens.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph, Empress pointed out that she doesn’t have a contract with any network or television show. She also explained what triggered her to explain her freelance status in 2015.
So after noong teleserye na yun, freelancer pa rin ako.”
Empress shared that netizens have violent reactions on having anthology projects with both networks which air the same time.
When Empress starred in ABS-CBN’s Asintado, she couldn’t accept another project from GMA Network.
“Pero since ayun nga, noong nagka-Asintado ako, it’s a show, it’s a teleserye so it’s a commitment, di ba.
Now that Empress had bid farewell from he stint in Asintado, she will be welcome again to do projects for both networks.
“As of now, yes. Pero since some of my projects right now are with ABS, so I will guarantee naman everyone na sa Kapamilya pa rin ako mapapanood.”
Empress enjoyed being a freelance actress. She also explained that she used to be locked in ABS-CBN Corporation.
Siguro I’ll just keep on getting better in whatever aspect in life. Basta relax lang ako ngayon kung freelancer, may contract, may show, may movie, go lang kung saan may work!”
