It’s Showtime recently kicked off the third season of Tawag ng Tanghalan. They kicked off the fresh season with performances from year 1 and year 2 champions Noven Belleza and Janine Berdin.
They also joined Dulce who launched her career through winning Tawag ng Tanghalan in 1975.
In the past years, Dulce would appear on It’s Showtime as a special guest. However this time, she’s now a judge or a “hurado” herself. She also joined Rey Valera, Ogie Alcasid, Jaya and Louie Ocampo in the panel of judges.
They also shared two new mechanics: Tawag ng Tahanan and Instant Resbak.
The first one, Tawag ng Tahanan will give television viewers who correctly guessed the daily winner and a chance to win a cash prize. Meanwhile, a judge can wave the Instant Resbak flag once per season.
This flag will also signify giving an unseated defending champion a chance to join a Resbak week. This would also determine the crop of contenders returning for the Ultimate Resbak at the end of the year.
