If you’re a wine lover, then you will also love the fact that Concha Y Toro, Latin America’s leading wine producer and brand, has finally brought their wine range of Marques de Casa Concha to the Philippine market.
According to the brand, this serves as their response to the increasing demand for fine wine from drinkers with interesting palates.
The launch of the premium wine brand in the country was celebrated in Marriott Hotel this July. The event was graced by none other than the award-winning wine expert, Pablo Pressac. Just like Concha Y Toro, Pressac also came from Chile, and is the brand ambassador and an expert in pairing them with the right food to complete the package.
During the event, the company, with the help of Pressac, served variations of their wine, which specifics were also discussed.
Marques de Casa Concha Merlot 2012
Dark and deep red. Rich and deftly balanced yet muscular red,
with layers of complex currant, spice, wild berry, and plum. Show off a nice touch of vanilla oak and mocha, adding a nice dimension. Tough tannic now, this wine should evolve. There’s already some complexity beginning to develop out of its firm, quiet, supple core.
Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Deep red with lush cherry, black currant, and blackberry aromas with a touch of tar and smoke. The highly concentrated flavors are framed by firm tannins. The texture is smooth—almost silky—and masks the firm tannic structure that lies below and only appears on the lingering finish.
Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere 2016
Deep dark red in color, with the classic profile of Carmenere from Peumo, with intense notes of ripe plums, black currants, and dark chocolate, along with firm tannic structure and pronounced acidity.
Marques de Casa Concha Chardonnay 2016
Light yellow in color. Combining richness with elegance and vibrancy this ripe, delicious wine serves up tasty white pear, mineral notes, and toasty hazelnut. Deeply concentrated with a silky texture and layers of pears and ripe figs and mineral flavors with a long and vibrant finish.
