Miss Universe Philippines 2018 Catriona Gray had always faced criticisms regarding her body. Although she doesn’t bother at some of the comments, there are times that she wouldn’t hesitate to share her thoughts about people asking women about their vital statistics.
In an Instagram post from Pageant Titas (@titasofpageantry), Catriona had clapped back to a man, @abarai_jap, who asked about her vital statistics.
The said man, @abarai_jap, also asked why does Catriona’s waistline remains unclear. He also asked whether Catriona has an elaborate rib cage.
“mmmmm.. May we know po anong vital stats ni Kat? Ba’t parang hindi klaro parati ang waist nya? Or sadyang she has an elaborate rib cage?”
The Binibining Pilipinas Universe titleholder responded to the netizen. Catriona also hoped that this man would see women as individuals. She continued that he shouldn’t see women as numbers on a measuring tape.
“What number would be good for you? What number constitutes my worth, or a “perfect” figure? I hope you would see women as individuals whose worth are defined by what they do and who they are, not by numbers on a tape.”
The said man has since changed his username due to the number of women clapping back and laughing at his expense.
