Senator Sherwin “Win” Gatchalian recently defended President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial kissing issue. The senator also compared President Rodrigo’s actions with married actors and actresses in kissing scenes.
Then, Agot Isidro took to Twitter to express her dismay on Senator Win’s statements.
In Senator Win’s statement, he also expressed that President Rodrigo and the OFW woman in Seoul, Korea kept the kiss professional.
“May mga artista na may asawa, but they also have kissing scenes in their movies, TV shows. So, I think, as long as it’s kept professional and there’s an understanding between the partners, siguro pwede nila gawin ‘yun.”
In Agot’s series of tweets, she also added that kissing and love scenes remain written on scripts. She wrote that acting remains their job. She also asked whether the kiss was included in President Rodrigo’s script.
“Minsan may mga eksena na kakailanganin yun. Nasa script kasi. Kasama po sa trabaho namin yun. Kasama ba din yun sa script ng Presidente? Paganahin din ang utak paminsan-minsan”
Agot revealed that if an actor can avoid kissing and love scenes, they can. However if the story really needs it, they will do the scenes.
“And personally, kung puede maiwasan ang mga ganung eksena, iniiwasan. Pero pag talagang kailangan, ginagawa. Professionalism ang tawag dun. Sana pairalin. Agree?”
