The Philippine National Police warned netizen on threatening people online.
On their official Twitter account @PNPHotline, the national police office cautioned netizen who threatened singer-actress Agot Isidro.
PNP said the netizen could be liable and be criminally charged for threatening Isidro.
“Bawal posabatas yan. Threat po yan. Pwede po kayo kasuhan.” PNP tweeted.
PNP’s warning came after they were tagged in a series of tweets by a netizen threatening Agot Isidro that he/she will throw acid on the actress’ face.
Agot was simple tweeting a photo of Metro Manila skyline when a basher tweeted and threatened her with an acid attack.
“Malaman ko lang presCon mo pupunta talaga ako. I’ll make sure labnos mukha mo sa asido.”
“Fuck you po! Aalamin ko venue ng prescon mo bubuhusantalagakita ng asido,” the netizen added.
With rallying netizens on Agot’s side, the Twitter user has been reported to Twitter and the account was already suspended.
PNP also endorsed the threat to the PNP Anti-cybercrime group.
