Manila Bulletin News recently tweeted out that government television network will air Chinese shows. According to the news article, Filipinos will now be able to watch Chinese television series, documentaries, cartoons and movies all dubbed in Tagalog over the government-owned People’s Television (PTV).
Agot Isidro voiced out her reaction to the said news.
Agot wrote that Filipinos are becoming slaves of China.
“Inuunti-unti tayo. Tulog pa rin ba, Pilipinas? Baka isang araw, pag-gising nyo, alila na tayo ng Tsina.”
Netizens reacted and replied to Agot’s reaction. One netizen pointed out that the Philippines need more programs about culture and education for Filipino.
“wow, PTV is supposed to air programs that are of national interest and national development, since when did sharing a national broadcasting networks airtime with Chinese episodes a nat’l interest. Mas kailangan nga na programs that are for our culture and education ng mga pinoy”
Another netizen also noted that China had already enslaved Philippines for a long time.

Some netizens also joked that Filipinos loved sleeping while it’s raining.

Another netizen also noted that some Filipinos sleep under a mosquito net. They also added that China had already started working from within and outside.
