- GMA Network aired a Lakorn (Thailand TV series) titled “You’re My Destiny” as part of their weekday marathon
- The network is happy to hear positive feedback from viewers and rating is going up
- GMA will also air shows from India, Turkey, and Indonesia soon
While K-Drama is still on the run, GMA Network is looking for better TV series alternatives around the world that might capture hearts of the Filipino.
Latin-American was on the roll on Philippine television many years ago. Now, GMA Network aired a TV series from Thailand titled “You’re My Destiny.”
And according to the GMA First Vice President for Program Management Joey Abacan, they’ve expected nothing less of an achievement showcasing good ratings from its first three episodes.
“You’re My Destiny” is starred by Wisetkaew Sukrit as Paolo and Esther Supreeleela as Martina. The story is about a love story between typical office girl, Martina, and an intelligent and elegant gentleman Paolo. The two strangers set foot on a ship and love brought them together, despite Paolo having a girlfriend. Apparently, Martina became pregnant and Paolo has to take responsibility. The accident ended up in a forced marriage and thus the start of their struggle as husband and wife.
GMA Network stated that when they published a post of “You’re My Destiny” on Instagram, they realized that the show already has many viewers. Joey Abacan added that other than K-dramas and Lakorn (Thailand series), they also have TV series coming from India, Turkey, and Indonesia that will soon follow “You’re My Destiny.”
Watch “You’re My Destiny” every weekend night after “Inday Will Always Love You” on GMA Network.
