- Actor-performer Ronnie Alonte and comedian-host Lassy Marquez join the Filipino community in Hong Kong for their annual Philippine Independence Day celebration Kapangyawan Festival
The ABS-CBN #JustLoveArawAraw summer celebrations spread further to East Asia as the largest Filipino-owned media and entertainment network joins the Filipino community in Hong Kong for their annual Philippine Independence Day festivities “Kapangyawan Festival” on June 10 at the Chater Road, Central, in Hong Kong.
#JustLoveArawAraw is the overarching theme for the summer season of ABS-CBN. Through its international arm in the Asia Pacific and flagship brand The Filipino Channel (TFC), the network brings in the festivities within the Filipino community’s annual Philippine Independence Day in the City of Life via the TFC Hour dubbed “Just Love Araw Araw in Hong Kong”.
Providing entertainment during the TFC Hour “Just Love Araw Araw in Hong Kong” are actor-performer Ronnie Alonte and comedian-host Lassy Marquez.
Alonte made a debut in the showbiz industry when he became part of the all-male performing group Hashtags in the variety show “It’s Showtime” where he continues to be seen. In 2016, he starred in Star Cinema’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Vince, Kath, and James”, and in 2017, made a debut on the small screen via the series “A Love To Last”. Now, Alonte is ready to add life to the “Kapangyawan Festival” with his performances and on-stage charm.
Meantime, Marquez is one of the real-life friends of the Philippines’ Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda, who became part of the latter’s two films: “The Super Parental Guardians” in 2016 and the 2017 MMFF entry “The Revenger Squad”. He has already been part of several TFC events which now makes him one of the more known comic acts outside the Philippines. This time, Marquez looks forward to share with the Filipinos in Hong Kong his own brand of entertainment and laughter.
The treats do not end there. Participants also get a chance to either take home a “Just Love Araw Araw” shirt or get a pass for the photo opportunity with Alonte and Marquez.
