Two giant rival Philippine TV networks are again both claiming leadership for the May 2018 TV ratings.
In the latest numbers released by AGB Nielsen and Kantar Media, both TV networks claimed the lead for the month of May 2018.
Based on Kantar Media report, ABS-CBN still commands big lead against GMA Network in the national TV ratings category.
The Kapamilya network recorded a full month average of 45% against Kapuso’s 32.0% or a margin of 13%.
ABS-CBN also enjoy leadership in all geographic areas beating GMA Network with sizeable margins.
In Metro Manila, ABS-CBN recorded full month ratings of 41.0% against GMA network’s 26.0%. Mega Manila is a little bit closer at 36.0% vs 34.0%. The 3 large geographic areas Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao also favored ABS-CBN.
Luzon recorded 41.0% for ABS-CBN vs GMA Network’s 35.0%. Visayas, on the other hand, is at 54.0% vs 25.05 and Mindanao at 52.0% against 30.0%.
ABS-CBN’s May 2018 ratings success is still attributed to its strong primetime block lead by FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano which remained the most watched TV program nationwide with an average of 40.7%.
GMA Network meanwhile, still claimed leadership in NUTAM People ratings done by AGB Nielsen.
AGB Nielsen recorded a slim margin of 1.5% in favor of GMA Network at 39.8% vs 38.3%.
The Kapuso network also claimed lead in Urban Luzon and Mega Manila areas based on AGB Nielsen numbers.
GMA Network recorded 45.8% vs 30.4% in Mega Manila and 44.4% and 33.0% in Urban Luzon.
Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho and Kambal Karibal led the most watched TV program for GMA Network.
