- YouTube Fan Fest 2018 emerges successful
- Local and international YouTube Content Creators gather for YTFF 2018
Fans gather as YouTube Philippines holds their biggest event this year with “YouTube FanFest 2018” at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. As a treat to Filipino fans, 14 of the most sought-after YouTube creators in and out of the country graced the said fan event.
The show invited established and emerging YouTube stars and their fans from the Philippines and around the world, drew in crowds for a night filled with music, dance, and lots of fun. Now on its fourth year, YouTube FanFest also raised anticipation for the country’s biggest talents, with 10 homegrown YouTube creators headlining the electrifying grand show.
Local sensations Janina Vela, Mikey Bustos, Ranz Kyle and Niana Guerrero, Wil Dasovich, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Michelle Dy, Pamela Swing, AC Bonifacio and Renee Dominique joined four international creators Matt Steffanina, Sungha Jung, Merrell Twins and D-trix for epic performances that kept the audience on their feet.
The creator lineup brings in tow millions of fans from across the globe, and especially a vibrant Filipino YouTube community that follows and supports their content. Today, the Philippines has over 230 channels that reached 100K subscribers, and more than 15 channels with 1M+ subscribers—a meteoric jump from just 70 channels with 100K subscribers and 8 channels with 1M+ subscribers that YouTube announced last year.
“We’re delighted to host YouTube FanFest again in the Philippines for the fourth time to celebrate this new generation of YouTube stars. We love coming here because of Filipino fans’ energy and enthusiasm, and to see international creators and homegrown Filipino talents shine on stage,” said Chris Schremp, YouTube’s Director of Global Creator & Artist Development.
YouTube FanFest showcases some of today’s biggest YouTube creators and is co-presented by Globe Telecom and Vivo. Catch more of the action that happened on stage by following hashtag #YTFFPH and subscribing to the YouTube FanFest Channel.
