Aila Santos recently ended her journey on It’s Showtime‘s Tawag ng Tanghalan. In the said segment, Ato Arman and also, Aila competed for the last Seat of Power. Judges Jaya, Kyla, Yeng Constantino, Erik Santos and Rey Valera properly discussed which of the two will get the Seat.
In the end, the judges chose Ato over Aila. This caused many netizens to express their dismay on Aila’s departure. Jaya also received negative and hateful comments from netizens.
On May 23, Wednesday, Jaya wasn’t one of the judges in the Tawag ng Tanghalan episode. Vice took his own platform to defend Jaya from the bashers.
He shared that he felt bad for Jaya and that may of Aila’s fans weren’t too kind to the Queen of Soul.
“I felt so bad for Miss Jaya. Kasi there are a number of Aila fans na bina-bash si Miss Jaya kahapon. And there was no reason for you to bash Miss Jaya kasi, kung hindi niyo po alam, Miss Jaya was one of the two judges who voted for Aila. So, ayun po. Someone has to stand up for Miss Jaya. I just want to defend her kasi it is not fair for her na bina-bash siya kahapon. Nababasa ko, pinipersonal siya, e.”
Vice also tensed that Jaya remains one of the two judges who actually voted for Aila.
“Hindi niyo po alam na si Miss Jaya ang isa sa dalawang judges na bumoto kay Aila kaya huwag mangba-bash.”
After a few minutes, Jaya posted a tweet, expressing her gratitude to Vice for speaking up on her behalf.
“I love you @vicegandako for speaking on my behalf. I’m crying now because I absolutely felt your sincerest love. God bless you my friend.”
