Vic Sotto and Coco Martin remain mum on their alleged Metro Manila Film Festival 2018 team-up. According to PEP Alerts, Vic and Coco will join forces for the said film festival. PEP Troika’s Noel Ferrer wrote that he confirmed this last week.
The news hinted at Vice Ganda’s possible entry for the said film festival. This made people speculate whether Vic and Coco’s movie will attempt to overturn Vice’s continuous box office hits.
Vic and Coco will focus on the happy and heartwarming story instead of visual effects. However, they have yet to announce which director will helm the film. Although the movie may be a family-oriented one, it will surely have iconic actions scenes which the two had already incorporated in their past MMFF entries. Jerry Olea predicted Vic and Coco to co-produce the said MMFF entry.
Gorgy Rula also shared that rumors suggest APT Entertainment will partner with them for the project. However, this rumor infers that OctoArts Films won’t be included in the said project.
This led to a speculation where Orly Ilacad would probably have his heart broken as he always collaborates with Vic. MMFF script submissions will be on May 31, Thursday.
