- TNT Boys earn praises from Bee Gees, foreign online sites for “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” performance

After getting the attention of Bee Gees for their impersonation of the American group, TNT Boys bagged their first-ever win in “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” with their impersonation of girl group Destiny’s Child last weekend.
The TNT Boys once again made waves in the international scene as their impersonation gained praises from the American band itself and from foreign online sites.
“Imitation truly is the sincerest form of flattery! Thank you #TNTBoys @YourFacePH for your rendition of ‘Too Much Heaven,’” the official account of Bee Gees tweeted.
Foreign online sites such as pickle.nine.com.au of Australia, smoothradio.com of Great Britain, and 957bigfm.iheart.com of USA also featured the boys’ performance and narrated how they were blown away by the kids’ spot-on impersonation.
Mackie Empuerto, Francis Concepcion, and Kiefer Sanchez’s performance of “Too Much Heaven” has already garnered 4.4 million views on YouTube, with various foreign YouTube reactors also giving positive reviews on the viral performance.
Aside from their Bee Gees impersonation, their other performances have also already reached millions of views, including their Apo Hiking Society (1.6 million views) and Salbakuta (2.2 million views) transformations.
But what made them win in the show for the first time was their imitation of Destiny’s Child and performance of “Survivor” last Saturday (May 26). which made them earn the most number of points for the week.
“You three are beautiful. You three are so good. You made us all happy, especially me. I’ll bring this with me for the whole week,” said jury Sharon Cuneta.
“What carried your performance was you enjoying yourselves. You poured your hearts out in the performance. That was outstanding,” Nyoy Volante commented.
Aside from a cash prize, the TNT Boys also sent out help to their chosen charity, House of Refuge, which received P50,000 worth of toys.
Meanwhile, “Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids” won weekend programming, according to data from Kantar Media. Last Saturday (May 26), the show recorded a national TV rating of 32%, compared to “Pepito Manaloto” (17.8%). It remained unbeaten last Sunday (May 27) with 32.2% versus “Lip Sync Battle Philippines” (16.5%).
