SAMSUNG continues to amaze the world with its latest innovations. With the Galaxy S9 and S9+ enabling people to reimagine the way they see the world, the newest flagship phone sets the bar high with one of its newest features: the Dual Aperture camera. Allowing its consumers to express themselves with its revolutionary camera, this new feature is a standout from today’s top smartphone trends.

Quality photos in super low light

These days, we take a lot of photos be it a just woke-up selfie, an OOTD, or the food we’re eating. We aim for carefully captured images at the beach during sunsets, or on top of skyscrapers at night. The situation may differ, but the goal is the same – to capture that perfect shot. However, conditions might not be ideal in every single instance; lighting can be a problem depending on your location and the time you take the photo. When this happens, you resort to editing tools and filters as your last resort.

By having the lowest aperture in the market, the Galaxy S9/S9+ Dual Aperture camera has a solution to this problem. It can capture extraordinary, crisp photos  even low light conditions. Its lens adapts like the human eye, adjusting to any kind of available light.

Different lightings, different apertures

Just like an eye’s pupil, the aperture is responsible for capturing and assessing the lighting conditions of what you’re seeing. The Dual Aperture camera of the Galaxy S9 | S9+ comes with two f-stop modes: F/2.4 for bright conditions, and F/1.5 for low light.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ allow you to use the super low light feature in two modes, full Auto or PRO. The Auto mode is the key for those who don’t want to adjust to the camera settings. This device also has multi-frame noise reduction. With this technology, images in low light are quickly captured in 12 successive pictures that are combined into a single shot.

For dark settings, the camera switches to the f/1.5 aperture to absorb as much light as possible giving it better quality. Meanwhile, you can do whatever you want with the camera by simply switching to PRO mode. This setting gives you the freedom to adjust the camera’s shutter speed, ISO, Focus, white balance, and exposure, just like using a DSLR. Additionally, the Galaxy S9+ comes with a secondary telephoto lens coming with 2x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS).

The Dual Aperture is installed on the rear camera of the Galaxy S9. (It’s on the rear wide camera of the Galaxy S9+.) So no matter the time of day, whether it’s sunny or dark, you can toggle the aperture to create the desired mood for your photo.

Capture super low light photos using of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ which comes in Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and new color, Lilac Purple. The newest flagship smartphones are also priced at a suggested retail price of PHP 45,990 and PHP 52,990, at standard 64GB respectively. The Galaxy S9+ is also available at 128GB at PHP 55,990 and 256GB at PHP 60,990.
